It is a matter of public record that child abuse allegations were made against the then MP Greville Janner in 1991.
Today I stumbled on what might be merely a coincidence - the officer who led the 1991 investigation into Greville Janner and the MP who spoke first in the House of Commons debate on the matter share a surname - Ashby.
Is that a coincidence?
Or is there a relationship of some kind between the two men? Are they members of the same family?
The former Police investigator was Kelvyn Ashby.

The Member of Parliament was David Ashby.
Mr. Ashby opened the 1991 House of Commons debate about how Greville Janner was accused of child abuse in open court
See Contempt of Court
Keith Vaz MP was also prominent in that House of Commons debate.
See this post about questions that Mr. Vaz hasn't yet answered about his actions in 1991:
Keith Vaz must make a public statement on his past if he is to continue as Chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee
and in employment with Richmond Council and Islington Council in the 1980s.
